Incoming exchange students -- Medicine

For example:

 

• The Medicine curriculum for incoming exchange students. This document gives an indication of the courses that are available to incoming exchange students. Some courses are fully taught in English (‘green courses’), others are taught in Dutch but are open to international students (‘yellow courses’). Links to course descriptions are also provided.
• Language requirements: B ANTWERP01 asks at least a B2-level in English or Dutch. Basic knowledge of Dutch is recommended, especially if students want to take the ‘yellow courses’. 
• Frequently Asked Questions. B ANTWERP01 has published an extensive list of the most common questions asked by international students.  Please refer  to this page if you have any questions regarding studying, doing a clinical internship or the application procedure.
• Clinical traineeships. B ANTWERP01 only accept international students for clinical traineeships from December 2017 onwards. The number of positions is limited and only some departments offer supervision in English (e.g. Cardiology, Endocrinology, Radiology). Students who want to do an internship should provide us documents on vaccinations, a completed registration form and should be covered by a liability insurance. Again, all information concerning clinical traineeships can be found on our Frequently Asked Questions-website.

At the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Barcelona, the conditions are:

- Incoming students can choose any curricular subject, with the only attention to not overlap classes having the same schedule. Exceptions: Extra Internships, Pràctiques tutelades, Treball de fi de grau, Estada Clínica Hospitalària.

- EBARCELO01 try to give everyone the selection of subjects, but there is a limited places on some subjects. So subjects as psiquiatria, malalties del sistema nerviós and otorrinolaringologia are always full of students.

- The language required is B1 Spanish; EBARCELO01 can not accept students without the official certificate (from a Language School, OLS...);

- The practices of each curricular subjects may take place at one of EBARCELO01 associated hospitals: Terrassa, Clínic, Sagrat Cor, etc. You can check the information on EBARCELO01 website.
